To say that Cast Classics took the casual furniture industry by storm in the early '90s is perhaps an understatement. Much of the success of cast-aluminum products in the casual furniture industry today can be attributed to the quality, design and value brought to the market by Cast Classics many years ago.
Prior to the inception of Cast Classics, price points of cast aluminum furniture were in the stratosphere. Cast Classics changed that from day one and, for the first time, consumers were offered quality cast aluminum furniture at prices many could afford. The cast aluminum category took off and is still on a roll almost two decades later.
The Arad family; David, Daphna & Al, started Cast Classics out of a small warehouse in Southern California. Al, the youngest of the owners, spent months on end driving around the country with samples in the back of his car, searching for placement wherever he could. His efforts quickly began to bear fruit and now the coveted Cast Classics Authorized Dealerships are carefully limited to design professionals and a select group of fine retailers around the world.
Cast Classics has been so successful that production has sold out every year since its introduction. Dealers reserve production space months in advance to secure their flow of goods and insure their piece of the production pie.
The original factory was approximately 5,000 sq feet and employed less than 50 people. The production facility is now nearly the size of 33 football fields; totaling almost a million square feet, employs approximately 1,000 people and features state of the art equipment operated by skilled craftsmen who turn Cast Classics' product unparalleled in quality and value at any price level.
